What is the dress code for dining?
We do not enforce a dress code, but most guests choose smart-casual or business-casual attire.
Are dogs allowed in our restaurant or guest bedrooms?
We are pleased to welcome guide dogs; however, we are unable to accommodate other dogs within the restaurant or guest bedrooms.
Are children allowed to dine at The Peat Inn?
Children of all ages are welcome at lunchtime. For dinner service, we kindly ask that children are aged seven years or over.
Do we have a children’s menu?
We do not offer a dedicated children’s menu. However, our chefs are happy to prepare a simple pasta dish or a similar alternative for younger guests. Please let us know when booking.
Do you cater for vegetarian and vegan diets?
Yes. Vegetarian and pescatarian options are available across all our menus. For vegan dining, we kindly ask that this is noted at the time of booking so that a suitable menu can be prepared.
Do we cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. We can accommodate most dietary requirements and allergies. Please inform us of any requirements when booking so that we can prepare a menu tailored to your needs.
Is there a service charge?
A discretionary service charge of 12.5% is added to all food and beverage bills. This charge is shared amongst our team in recognition of the service they provide.
How long should I allow for dining?
For our tasting menu experience, we recommend allowing approximately 2½–3 hours.
Do you have electric car charging facilities?
Yes. We have two electric vehicle charging points. Charging fees apply and can be paid directly at the charging point.
Can gift vouchers be used towards a different experience?
Yes. Gift vouchers may be redeemed for their monetary value and used towards alternative menus, experiences or packages. Please contact our reception team for assistance.
My gift voucher has expired. Can it be extended?
Gift vouchers cannot be extended once expired. If your gift voucher is approaching its expiry date, please contact our reception team and we will be happy to discuss your options.
What time is check in and check out?
You can check into your suite from 3.00pm. Check-out is at 11.00am.
Can I park my motorhome in your car park?
Due to the size of our car park, we are unable to accommodate motorhomes.
Our postcode is KY15 5LH if you would like to explore alternative parking options nearby. Peat Inn is a small village with limited on-street parking, so spaces suitable for larger vehicles can be difficult to find.
I need to cancel my reservation. Can my deposit be refunded?
A deposit of £100.00 per suite is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. Deposits are refundable only if lockdown or travel restrictions are imposed. Otherwise, cancellations will result in the loss of the deposit without exception. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the reservation date will be charged at 100% of the reservation amount.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all guests arrange suitable single-trip travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances, including medical emergencies and last-minute cancellations.
