Further to the government’s recent update regarding Coronavirus / COVID-19 (16th March) I wanted to let all our loyal guests know that for now The Peat Inn remains open for business, and I thank you for continuing to support our teams by dining with us.
We would like to ensure all of our guests that your wellbeing is of the utmost importance to us and therefore we have implemented the following to ensure your safety.
SOCIAL DISTANCING BETWEEN TABLES
As our restaurant is split over four areas we will endeavour to implement as large a distance as we are able between all of our tables, we will be introducing dining tables within our bar area to aid this. This is in addition to the following robust procedures we have already put in place:
ADDITIONAL CLEANLINESS
– Hourly, thorough hand washing routines with all front of house and kitchen staff
– Increased cleaning and sanitising of high traffic public areas and payment machines
– Offering free hand sanitiser stations for guests
– Encouraging guests to pay by contactless means and where not possible we will wipe our machines before and after each transaction.
CANCELLATIONS – MOST PEOPLE LET US KNOW SO WE CAN HELP PLAN FOR OUR TEAMS

TAKEOUT AND DELIVERY
We are introducing a menu for takeout from The Peat Inn. Simply call us, and we will be delighted to arrange your meal for you. We’ll give you an estimated time to pick up.Depending upon your distance from the restaurant we will possibly be able to deliver to you.
GIFT CARDS – SUPPORT US BY BUYING A FUTURE VISIT
One way of showing your support is to purchase a gift card, which you can use in the future when things return to normal. Choose from £10 upwards.
We cannot predict the future but we can protect the present. We can lookout for neighbours, we can think of our community and we can also think about the long term. At some point, life will return to normal and when it does, we will want our local community to look and feel as it did before. We thank all of our guests for your support. We hope we can welcome you soon – or deliver some delicious home cooked meals from The Peat Inn instead.
